Creating Email-Only Accounts
Q: How do I purchase and set up an email-only .Mac account?
If you have a full .Mac membership, you can purchase up to ten email-only accounts (with 50 MB of storage each). You can give an email-only account a brand new address or you can use the name of an expired account or a .Mac trial account.
To purchase additional email-only accounts, go to http://www.mac.com and click Account. On the Account page, click the Buy More button. Select the number of additional email-only accounts you'd like to purchase, then click the Continue button, review your billing information, then click Continue, verify your purchase, and then click Buy Now.
To assign the email-only account the name of an expired account or existing trial account, click the Manage Accounts button. Enter the member name and password of the account you want to convert, then click Convert. Please note that if a trial account is converted to an email-only account, all the account's data files, except for email messages, will be removed from Apple's servers. Other .Mac services, such as iDisk, HomePage, Bookmarks, Mac-to-Mac synching, Backup, are not accessible to email-only accounts, and the photo signature feature is not available for email-only accounts. _________________ SD
